Year 4 have been very busy in October! We started of the month with a visit to Kingston Maurward to start of our geography project Down on the Farm. The children had a great time exploring the farm and finding out about the different ways the land is used. On the journey there and back children used their keen eyes to spot villages and towns we travelled through and were able to come back into the classroom and plot our route on maps.
After receiving a mystery delivery contain exciting religious artefacts the children have been exploring the story and importance of Diwali to Hindus. They have been finding out about the different ways Hindus celebrate the festival and have had a go at making their own Rangoli patterns, diva lamps and even learning some Bhangra dancing.
