Pokesdown Community Primary School – Weekly Briefing – 22nd April
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a great first week back at school – it’s been lovely to see the children and you back at school.
As with every first week back, we do have a few school reminders;
- Please make sure that the children are always in our school uniform. PE kit can be worn on PE days. It can also be worn on days when your child is going to a sports based after school.
- Mufti days are a great fundraising day for us at school – can you make sure that the children are wearing clothes to school that are suitable for a day at school. All in one costumes are not ideal for the children. We also do not want the children to wear clothes that are more suitable for wearing to bed or lounging around at home. We would like the children to still look quite smart in their mufti clothes.
- We are a nut free school – please ensure that there are no nuts in any of the food that the children bring into school.
- Only fruit can be a mid-morning snack. Reception, Years 1 and 2 have this supplied by the government. Years 3 to 6 need to bring a piece in if they need it.
- The children can only bring water into school. Please do not send in juice or squash.
The dates for this term are included in this letter, we have also included the term dates for next year – 2024 to 2025. They can be found at the end of this letter.
Have a fantastic weekend.
