The school has been allocated funding for SEND and this provides the resources needed throughout the school, including additional support staff, specialist services, equipment and training.
During the “Assess, plan, do review” process the amount of additional support might increase. If the level of expected progress is not seen, despite the school taking relevant and purposeful action, the school and parents could consider requesting an Education/Health Care assessment through the Local Authority.
When allocating any resources within the school, desired outcomes, progress indicators and needs are central to all decisions made. This is in consultation with the Headteacher, SENDCo-ordinator, School Business Manager and the Directors.
